Following in our Eldest Sister’s footsteps, we M Boutique Station 18 has compiled a list of Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) to assist you in answering some of the questions that you may have about our home. This FAQ is a reflection of our Hotel Policies and Questions related to our Services and Rooms. Hope this FAQ page helps!

General

What is the check in time?

Check in time is at 3:00 pm (not guaranteed in the event of high occupancy). Should you need earlier accommodation we are happy to assist, however it is subject to the availability of rooms. Upon arrival at the premises, guests are required to present a valid form of identification stating the name, address, nationality, identity card number, place and date of issue to ascertain the identity and thus to be saved in the registry. M Boutique will make every effort to honour any special requests (specific floor or room number, extra mattresses, crib etc.) subject to the availability upon your arrival. M Boutique reserves the rights to refuse service to any guests who do not follow or comply with our hotel policies.

What is the check out time?

Check out time is at 12:00 pm. Requests for a late check-out can be directed to the front office on the morning of your departure and may be subject to availability and/or an additional charge.

Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?

We are a 100% non-smoking hotel. Out of concern for all of our guests M Boutique has been designated as a non-smoking premise. In the event a guest smokes or permits smoking in a guest room or our public areas, a “Smoke Elimination Fee” of RM200 will be posted to the guest’s account upon checkout.

How much do you charge for wifi internet access?

We offer complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access in all guest rooms and public spaces. We do not limit you to the number of concurrent devices. The downside is; since this is a shared facility, the more devices connected means the slower the bandwidth.

Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless internet access available?

We have wireless prepaid 4G connection via a dongle that will be provided on loan. Please note that you will have to pay for the bandwidth (nominal fee) and we do not mark up the charges. Loss of our dongle will result in a replacement charge of RM400.00 per dongle.

Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?

No. We do not have a fitness center and/or a gymnasium at M Boutique Station 18.

Do you offer laundry services?

We provide a free, self-service laundry in our hotel, with 1 front loading washing machine, 1 dryer located and an ironing station on level 1 of our Hotel. We also provide complimentary usage of laundry detergent and softener. These services are provided on an “as is” basis.

Do you offer room service? What are the hours?

We do not provide room service. Special requests can be made from our adjacent restaurant partner; MYTH Eatery & Bar from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm only.

Do you have a business center?

No, we do not have a dedicated business center; however we provide an internet station on the first floor, and can help, should you have any special request for faxing, printing, etc. Please note that our internet station is also provided on an “as is” basis.

Is there Carparks available at M Boutique Station 18?

At current, we do not provide parking facilities as there are sufficient street parking bays in front of the Hotel that is provided on a complimentary basis by The Ipoh Municipal Council. This however, is based on a First Come, First Serve Basis.

Can I park in front of the Hotel?

If you do decided to park in front of M Boutique Station 18, please note that these car parks are under the Jurisdiction of The Ipoh City Council and you currently do not have to purchase a parking coupon. However, this is based on a first come first serve basis.

However, should The Ipoh City Council begin implementation of Car Park Coupon, we will update our FAQ accordingly.

Do you have a swimming pool?

No we do not have a swimming pool in M Boutique.

Rooms & Reservations

How do I view or amend my reservation?

If you had booked directly from our website, please use this link to view, modify, or cancel your reservation. For reservations made directly with us over the phone, please feel free to call us at+605 321 1666 or drop us an email via our contact page. For Reservations made via Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc, we would appreciate if you could contact the respective customer service centers that you had made the booking from.

I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

You need to contact the channel through which you made your reservation.

Can I request a specific type of room based on the theme?

We do not sell rooms by thematic floors. All rooms are sold based on Room Category. However, you can make a request for a particular themed floor and we will do our best to accommodate. We do close floors for preventive maintenance on a weekly basis and cannot guarantee that the request will be fulfilled.

How big are your rooms?

At M Boutique, we try to be as upfront as possible. We like to say, “Be Pleasantly Surprised by the Smallest Things”, as we try hard to look at the small things, and like our philosophy, our rooms in M Boutique Station 18 is a little smaller as opposed to most hotels in Malaysia. The sizes are, based on room category;

  1. Cabin King Category : 21 square meters / 226 square feet
  2. Superior Room Category : 20 square meters / 215 square feet
  3. Premier Room Category : 35 square meters / 376 square feet
  4. Family 2 Queen Category : 37 square meters / 398 square feet
  5. Family 2 King Category : 57 square meters / 613 square feet

All sizes provided are an approximate.

Can I add an extra bed in the rooms?

Due to our room configuration, we cannot guarantee that all rooms can be fitted with an extra bed.

What is the minimum age requirement to check in to the room?

You must be 18 years of age with a valid ID to check in to the hotel.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

We require a credit card at the time of booking. You must cancel outside of 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a one night’s room and tax to your card.

If you do not provide your credit card details, this is considered a NON GUARANTEED reservation and we reserve the right to release your room reservation by 6.00 pm on the day of arrival.

Please note that for special rates, packages and certain peak seasons, this policy is subject to change.

Is my ID/passport required at check in?

We do require presentation of a valid government-issued identification at the time of check-in.

What age do kids stay for free?

Children below the age of 10 and under stay for free in existing bedding when accompanied by an adult. The maximum number of children allowed in all rooms when using existing bedding is 1 only.

What is the maximum number of occupants per room?

The maximum number of occupants per room category shall be as follows;

  1. The Cabin King, the maximum number of occupants is 2 Adults.
  2. Superior Single/Double, the maximum number of occupants is 2 Adults.
  3. Premier Single/Double, the maximum number of occupants is 2 Adults.
  4. Family Suite, the maximum number of occupants is 4 Adults. With an extra bed maximum occupants is 4 Adults.

We allow 1 Child Only below the age of 10 and under to stay for free using existing bedding as a combination/addition to the maximum number of occupants per room. The hotel reserves the right to refuse service to any guests who do not follow or comply with hotel policies.

Will your rooms allow baby cots/cribs? Is there a charge?

Baby Cots/Cribs are provided free of charge and subject to room availability. Kindly make a request during your reservation.

Do you have inter connecting rooms?

Yes, we have limited inter connecting rooms for the Superior Room Category only. You may make a request for connecting rooms; however, they are not guaranteed.

Do you have accessible rooms?

Yes, we have 1 accessible room which is of our The Cabin King located on Mono, Level 1.

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes, an early departure fee in an amount of up to one night’s room charge and tax will apply.

How do I get to the hotel?

What is your GPS coordinates?

Our GPS Coordinates are 4°32’50’’ N, 101°4’18’’ E. Please note that the coordinates used on Google Maps and Waze may differ from the ones above.

Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?

We currently do not offer a complimentary shuttle service. Please feel free to call us at +6 05 255 5566 or drop us an email via our contact page should you require transfer services by M Boutique.

What are the streets intersecting the Hotel or landmarks?

We are located in a new development area, linking Jalan Leong Boon Swee with Jalan Datoh, on the fringe of Ipoh Town. The nearest landmark would be The New Oversea’s Restaurant near the Sri Maju Bus Terminal in Ipoh Town.

Accounting

I have questions about my bill. Who do I call?

What forms of payment is accepted to pay for my room?

For Credit Cards; we currently accept VISA, MASTER & JCB. When you check in to M Boutique, we will charge the full room rate to your credit card. We will also take an authorization from your credit card of RM100 for any incidental charges such as mini bar. This is an authorization and the amount is only blocked on your credit card. In the event of no additional charges, the merchant bank will release this authorization from your account within 5 working days after check out. We do not accept checks.

For payments via cash, we will ask for a deposit of the full room charges and tax including a refundable RM100 per room for the incidental charges such as mini bar. We will refund this deposit, if there are no incidental charges,at the time of check out.

Pets

Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?

As much as we love pets ourselves, we do not allow pets in our hotel for the benefit of all our friends of M Boutique Ipoh.

If I have a pet, is there a place where they will be cared for?

Yes, there are a couple of pet friendly homes in Ipoh, which we recommend often, who will care for your pet and would appreciate if you could let us know in advance or call us at +605 321 1666 or drop us an email via our contact page.

Pre Wedding Photography & Special Requests

I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?

We do numerous special request at M Boutique from room decorations, to Anniversaries, Birthdays, etc. A lot really depends on you and the M Boutique Family would appreciate if you could tell us of your special request during your reservation or call us at+605 321 1666 or drop us an email via our contact page.

I would like to take my Pre Wedding Photography in your Hotel. How do I do this?

Currently we do not allow Pre Wedding Photography in our home but you can always contact us at +605 321 1666 or drop us an email via our contact page.
